How to Get Started Clicker Training Cats!

Welcome trainers! This course is designed to help new cat guardians build skills and tools for cat trick training! If you are new to training this course will give you all of the resources you need to get started. We will cover training tools, techniques, basic behaviors, and how to break down each trick! Join us and get started doing tricks with your cat!

Trick training may seem trivial to some people as some tricks may not seem directly functional or useful. However, training your cat is one of the best ways to build a strong relationship with them. Actively interacting with your cat through trick training not only helps boost their mental wellbeing but lets your cat also positively associate interaction with you with rewards. Through training, they will also build confidence as they learn what they can do rather than what they can’t.

Beth Grabowski

Beth is a cat and dog trainer from Seattle, WA. She has her degree in Anthrozoology and Biology student at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. She has had cats for longer than she can remember, helped shelter dogs achieve trick titles to improve adoptability, and puppy raised and trained a service puppy. Beth is interested in anatomy, biochemistry, nutrition, behavior, and wildlife. She believes in working with animals to understand best and establish communication forged through training between humans and animal companions.
